Pastor Ken Harley
Ken has been in Hong Kong since 2006 teaching English and pastoring and leading people to Jesus. He is the founder of the Jesus In Mongkok Apostolic Network. His desire is to end misery in people's lives through introducing them to Jesus Christ and the eternal family of God that loves, intercedes for one another and takes care of each other!
Of course, it all starts with Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of Our Faith
Ken has been a Christian since 1977 and was a minister's son. He has always felt Jesus in his life throughout his life.
Ken has never been married and is a graduate from Vanguard University in Southern California and Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
He has published three books: One about poetry, one about how to evangelize to the last generations of the 20th century in America and one about a student in Taian, Shandong Province, China struggling through her university exams.
His books can be purchased at www.amazon.com.
Ken loves the Body of Christ. He grew up in Foursquare and learned a lot in his early adult life from John Wimber, Kenn Gulliksen and the Vineyard. He graduated in his early 30's from Assembly of God and Catholic universities. He has learned to love all that have relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the most valuable lessons he learned while he was teaching in China from Chinese Christians was that he was a part of their family: The family of God.
Ken believes that we are a part of one family of God throughout the earth and through all the ages of man and that we should never forget to love and encourage one another.
Ken's favorite Bible verses:
20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear¡Xhating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy¡X
34"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is true. 38I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor."
